Expert Editor

The Editor

With the new Expert Editor you can make creative videos and give each video an individual note.

To open the Editor toolbox, create a new box either through the Config menu or via the ”Text” link.

   

Editor interface (Text):

 

The Editor toolbox now has a series of new features, which are explained in detail below.

Position:

Use the Position feature to determine where your text will appear in your clip. There are nine possible positions, from left top to bottom right. Use the drop-down menu to select the desired position for the text.

 

Text:

You can format the text here. This text will only be displayed for the duration of the selected image. Should you want to display the same text for the entire duration of the clip, please select the Text tool from the Config menu. You can now use the following features separately to change the text:

 Text colour: Select  the colour shade from the provided colour palette. You can also enter your own RGB value.

 Increase font size: Here you can increase the font size of the text by clicking on the icon. Every click will make the text a bit larger.

 Decrease font size: Here  you can decrease the font size of the text by clicking on the icon. Every click will make the text a bit smaller.

Preview:

The Preview will show you what the result will look like after you’ve implemented your changes.

Graphic:

Here you can insert a graphic, which will then be placed over the actual image, similar to the logo. However, the graphic will only be displayed for this image (logo for the entire duration of the clip). This is an ideal feature for displaying a caption strip, for example.

 Click on this icon to upload and paste an image from your hard drive.

 If you have uploaded an image, you can delete it using this icon.

 Increase the graphic’s visibility by clicking on this icon several times. (less transparent)

 Decrease the graphic’s visibility by clicking on this icon several times. (more transparent)

The Box:

The Box is an important toolbox feature. You can display text and images in the Box. It also has to be manually adjusted to accommodate any size changes of text and images. Moreover, the Box also has a coloured background.

Increase the horizontal box size (width):

  Clicking on this icon will increase the horizontal box size with each click (wider).

Decrease the horizontal box size (width):

 Clicking on this icon will decrease the horizontal box size with each click (narrower).

Increase the vertical size (height):

 Clicking on this icon will increase the vertical box size with each click (higher).

Decrease the vertical size (height):

 Clicking on this icon will decrease the vertical box size with each click (lower).

Background colours for the box:

 Colour: Select the colour shade from the provided colour palette. You can also enter your own RGB value.

 Increase the visibility of the box by clicking on this icon several times. (less transparent)

 Decrease the visibility of the box by clicking on this icon several times. (more transparent)

Link:

 

Enter an internet address here to which the text of graphic should be linked. The link can then be accessed from the video with a single click. If you leave the field open, no link will be saved.

Animation sequence:

The animation will display a thumbnail of the individual images and has two options:

Add text:

This is the text field for this image only. If you enter text here, it will only be displayed when this image is actively displayed in the video animation.

Colour:

Select a background colour for the image here.
